APOLLO, THE SUN GOD

This Sterling silver pendant honoring Apollo was designed and built by first making a copy of an original 398-395 B.C. Greek Coin.   Apollo was known as the god of the sun, wisdom, prophecy, music, medicine and healing.  This Greek god was known to be supportive of the arts and studied the cure for diseases as a healer. Apollo was the son of Zeus and was often depicted with his bow while driving a winged chariot in the sky.
